Ludwig had always admired Feliciano Vargas. He was everything that this stoic German wasn't and that was intriguing to him. The Italian artist was a natural with any arts and crafts, just as he was a natural chatting to people in his extravagant way. Ludwig was a good leader, but wasn't very good at engaging with anybody on an emotional level.

Emotions kind of scared him to be honest.

But art. Art was a private outlet for emotions, right? (Private unless exhibited for others to see, that is.) Ludwig enjoyed writing formal correspondence, but perhaps it was time for him to break the mould (figuratively speaking, of course).

Now was his chance to speak with a professional artist for advice on the best supplies he could afford to budget for. He did not expect this reply from the Italian!

“Ciao, signore! Ve~ You're interested in becoming an artist too?! Yay! Magnifico!” This was accompanied by various spastic hand movements and light bouncing on the heels of his feet. “To begin, all you need is a piece of paper, a sharpened pencil, an eraser and a sharpener. Not to forget tons of inspiration! Heehee!”

Hmm. That was incredibly cheap! Ludwig was pleased with that response. “Danke! I shall give art a try.”

“Ve! You should! Say, come with me to my house now! It'll be fun. We can draw each other!”
